We would like to introduce Steve and Cynthia  Entreken and their newest family member,  Kingi. Kingi  is an Australian Cattle Dog who was born on  November  24, 2003, and is pictured here at his first Puppy Plan appointment on February 13, 2004 when he weighed 14.8 pounds. This is such an interesting breed of dog -  also known as "Blue Healers", these tough  little  herding dogs were bred to bite the heels  of  cattle to send them in desired directions in th ewild Australian  outback. In our domesticated world in Lakeland, Florida, they are wonderful family  dogs, still enjoying a good  romp in the  fields, and very  protective  of their  families, but they do  not have to move the  cattle as their  ancestors did. It will be fun to watch this unique puppy grow up!
