"The Bengal Cat is a distinct, unique breed of spotted domestic cat derived from ancestral crossings of a domestic cat with an Asian Leopard Cat. This was done in an effort to preserve the stunning beauty of the small forest dwelling leopard cat in a loving, domestic family pet."
We would like to introduce Debra Ketcham and her Bengal mix kitten who was adopted from CHAH on October 11, 2001 when she was approximately 10 weeks old. This is a very interesting kitten with certain attributes that are not common in domestic short-haired kittens that we regularly adopt. I have included a description of Bengals taken from Cat Fancier magazine to describe this interesting breed. This kitten weighed 3 pounds on her Adoption Day. It will be fascinating to watch this beautiful kitten mature!
