Here we have Dawn and Nicole Thompson and the newest member of their  family, Sam. Sam is a Beagle type puppy  who is pictured here at his Puppy Plan appointment on October 19, 2002. The Medical Staff estimates that  Sam  is  about five months old at this time. Dawn tells us that the Guidance Counselor at the school where she  teaches, Dixieland, almost hit this puppy with her car. Dawn agreed to take the  puppy home, and knew that her husband thought that it would be OK to include him in their family, which already has one  dog and one  cat, because he immediately named him Sam. We think that Sam chose a great place to show up  looking for a  home, because he certainly  found a wonderful  place to live with the Thompson's!
