What a  beautiful picture! Janie Wise writes to  tell  us:

Heidi,  German Shepherd extraordinaire, is 10 years old, and was a rescue dog.  She has a "good soul" and loves everyone she meets.  The song "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" is her anthem, and she is happiest when she is smoozing with a crowd...especially if they have tennis balls!!!

Jzocka, the mini-dachshund "with an attitude" and also a rescue,  is 11 years old.   She has  done an excellent job of training me in the 5 years I've had her, and always lets me know when she is thirsty, hungry, or wants a treat....(which is often)  The two remind me of cousins.  They don't necessarily look alike, but they look out for one another, and are great pals.  Often I find them stretched out "back to back", asleep on the same rug..... They will soon have an adoptive "brother", Raven, a 9 year old black lab who will be joining us from Baltimore.

This picture is of the three of us...and we put this  on our Xmas cards this year....unfortunately, I got a little slow, and didn't get them out, so I've promised the girls we'll mail them this year for sure!    We're happy  clients of CHAH, and the girls liked their recent stay in the cottages.   Heidi loved the playtime, and said Eric is a very good ball thrower....Jzocka, of course, supervised....she's not much for the outdoors, but feels it is her responsibility to keep Heidi in line.  Jzocka did appreciate the time Sheila took to find her just the right Overweight Management dog food, and is quite pleased with her canned food... She did object however, when Dr. Tom called her "porcine", and Dr. Kevin said her appearance was just "fair"....and after she'd lost a whole pound too!   But we're exercising regularly, and she expects to be down to her fighting weight by the next checkup.
