We would like to introduce a special friend of the Houghton family, this is Beth Johnson and her new kitten, Pepper. Beth was one of our daughter Jennifer's favorite teachers at Kathleen High School in Lakeland. Beth's son Scott, who is now in graduate school at the University of Florida, adopted this kitten from the SPCA in Gainesville and presented it to Beth as her very first "grand-kitten"! Pepper had been abandoned, rescued by the SPCA, and now has a wonderful, loving home with Beth. He is pictured here at his first Kitten Plan appointment on March 1, when he weighed in at a whopping 3.4 pounds! What a lucky kitten to have such a great friend as Beth!!
