| At age one, Dollie the kitty decided that the only thing she would eat following nursing was sliced deli meat. After many months of trying to get her to eat a more reasonable diet, she began to have difficulty walking, and eventually was completely unable to stand with all limbs rigid. Through appropriate diagnostics, we were able to diagnose secondary nutritional hyperparathyroidism and treated appropriately with a diet that allowed her to make a full recovery. She is now a crazy two-year-old who has learned the value of good nutrition. |
