Dr. Robert Houghton has joined the staff at Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital.  Having literally grown up at CHAH, this has been a great home-coming for "Bert". Since graduating from George Jenkins High School in 1998, Dr. Houghton has graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Zoolology, and from St. Georges University College of Veterinary Medicine with his Doctorate degree.  Following graduation Dr. Houghton worked as an intern at North Carolina State University prior to returning to CHAH.

Dr. Houghton and his wife, Jackie, have recently bought a home in Lakeland where they reside with two cats, Edgar and Oscar and a new puppy named Josie.  They are currently updating a 1920's bungalow in the historic district of Lakeland.  Jackie Houghton works as a graphic designer with Publix Supermarkets.

Dr. Houghton's professional interests include emergency and critical care, general practice and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.  His aim in practicing veterinary medicine mirrors that of Cleveland Heights Animal Hospital; to provide the best possible care to his patients.
