Dr. Tom Houghton was killed in an accident on the family farm in Polo, Missouri, on February 6, 2006. He was helping to clean out a large barn to make space for the Shorthorn cows to have their calves this spring. He died doing work that he loved on a farm that was his child-hood home. Our family is certain that he is at home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We at Cleveland Heights will all miss him, but we honor him and all that he stood for by following his dream to take the best care possible for all pets and their parents. We will remain a strong hospital and one of the premier veterinary facilities in the Southeast. Our standards of excellence as determined by the American Animal Hospital Association are of the highest caliber and we will continue to take the very best care of every pet and every pet's parent that comes to Cleveland Heights.
